On the Cliff

It was probably the best breakfast we have ever had in a hotel. Definitely 10 points. Once we also had lunch at "On the Cliff" bar. Good food, reasonable prices. The bar was always busy, as compared to the neighboring eateries. An excellent location, it was about 50m from the stairs to the old port, you can see the cable cars from the terrace, the panorama is simply great to enjoy the sunsets. It's a pity that due to the weather conditions, we didn't manage to enjoy any of the sunsets. Responsive staff. They respond quickly to requests, we got an extra blanket as well as dishes, knives and other things we asked for. Simona manages things professionally.

The view is amazing and it’s comfortable place to stay and a starting point for our trip. The property is also nicely designed in the style of Santorini. The hotel cost also includes a breakfast and it’s excellently prepared. The location is super convenient close to the main square and the trail to the old port and cable car. At first I was very hesitant to stay here because the TripAdvisor rating is very low, but it beats my expectation. Overall I would recommend it for winter stay (not sure how well they do in the peak season).

We stayed for 1 week in On the Cliff hotel and we loved our stay. Simona on front desk was very kind and very helpful and lovely to deal with. The staff in the bar Dennis and Usman were absolutely lovely, so polite and nothing was too much trouble. We were leaving at 5am they offered to have someone come in to help with our bags which we refused and offered to have a breakfast prepared which again we refused but Usman stayed until after we returned from our night out and left us down a selection of fruit so we would have something to eat the next morning. Simona organised tours and transfers for us and anything we asked for was no problem. The staff made the holiday for us as they were so friendly and kind. The room was spotless and just like the photos. The breakfast was fantastic there was so much we never needed lunch. Fantastic location, fantastic staff stunning view.

Sofia, who warmly greeted us, played a pivotal role in ensuring our stay was memorable by providing exceptional assistance throughout. The hospitality extended by the family made our experience truly special. The warm welcome and personalized service contributed to a feeling of being among friends. The genuine care and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of our stay. The location of the property further enhanced our overall experience. Positioned strategically, The Cliff offered breathtaking views that added a magical touch to our time in Santorini. Whether it was enjoying a sunrise or sunset, the scenic beauty surrounding the property was simply mesmerizing. I wholeheartedly recommend The Cliff for its unparalleled hospitality, prime location, and captivating views. Our stay was made exceptional not just by the stunning surroundings but also by the genuine warmth and attentiveness of the family, particularly Sofia. Choosing The Cliff proved to be the perfect decision for an unforgettable Santorini experience.

The location of On the Cliff is amazing, with a spectacular view and magnificent sunset. The property is centrally located among shopping and restaurants. The private jacuzzi and cave-like atmosphere added to the experience, and the staff made our family vacation absolutely perfect. Simona was present throughout our stay, organizing transportation to and from the airport and around the island. She sat with us to discuss the island's sights, proximity, and experiences, and even arranged for individually packed meals to be delivered to our room for the day of our departure. Azar greeted us upon arrival and carried our luggage over the cobblestone sidewalks and up and down the many steep steps. Angel assisted us during our departure and made sure the car was on time and we were on our way safely. Lali did an amazing job cleaning our room, providing clean towels and fresh scents daily. Nikos & Kostas supplied us with yummy drinks, and Denis not only bused the tables, but provided friendly conversation and laughs. Angela was a breath of fresh air. She greeted us at every meal with a huge smile and warm welcome. Our meals were served efficiently with friendly conversation. Angela taught us a few words in Greek and the spelling of our names. Matthew went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Upon arrival we had a small discrepancy and Matthew jumped in immediately to rectify the issue. He continued to make his presence known by checking on us and making sure that we had everything we needed. We genuinely appreciated the attention to detail and dedication the staff made to making our stay exceptional. Thank you On the Cliff!
